General Hospital SPOILERS: From the Mags, 12.4.9

Dante
Sure looks like Dante is running out of options when Jax calls to dangle info that could definitely be used to bust Sonny. Jax has armed himself with a hidden mic – recorded Sonny incriminating himself in Claudia’s death. Dante does not like being used by Jax in any way, but if he can get the evidence in his possession, he knows the case could very possibly come to a close.

One problem – Jax is making progress trying to reconcile with Carly, who is convinced the only way to save Michael is for him to confess and turn himself in. Jax also believes Michael’s crime should not be covered up. He considers erasing the evidence to promote peace with his wife.

Jax is sort of going through the same thing that Dante did [last week],” says Dominic Zamprogna in the latest issue of SOW, “he has to decide what to do with [the evidence].”

When Dante shows up to meet Jax, will the evidence still exist? According to Zamprogna, he goes to Jax’s to get it, but then says, “..that’s all I’m gonna tell you.”

Meanwhile, undercover cop Dante always has a couple other things going on. He has been burdened by the mystery tag that keeps popping up all over Port Charles. Dante recalls arresting a graffiti artist earlier in his career, and wonders if the two may be connected…better yet, could there be a connection to Franco?

To find out the information he needs, Dante solicits Lulu to help him utilize a secure computer at the PCPD. But Lucky happens to be in the station at the same time and catches the two of them red-handed. This is how Lucky learns the truth about Dante’. Dante is a bit leery about trusting Lucky at first since there could be moles in the PCPD. It was Dante’s decision from the beginning for Lucky not to know of his undercover work. He hasn’t ruled the possibility of cops being on Sonny’s payroll because the idea was brought up to him.

With Dante working undercover, Lucky now has an ally on the inside with Sonny. We’ll see them st working together. Lucky is also happy to learn the news, knowing his sister is drawn to Dominic-it’s a positive thing to find out he’s a cop, not an up-and-coming mobster.

Lucky
We saw Lucky giving Liz the option this week to end the engagement. Why is Lucky giving Liz this option? According to Jonathan Jackson, it’s all about confusion. Liz wants to be with both Lucky and Nik, but Lucky isn’t aware of that. He just thinks Liz is in some sort of turmoil. By setting her free in a loving way, maybe she will not feel obligated to be in something she doesn’t want.

As we know, Rebecca found out Liz and Nik's secret this week when she caught them in the act. She then sets off to tell Lucky what she has witnessed. But a car accident occurs before she can tell him. Does Rebecca tell anyone before she exits the show on Dec 22? According to JJ, Lucky does speak to Rebecca but she holds out on revealing the truth to him. The conversation they have is related to the accident. Rebecca is waiting for the right time to expose what she knows. But for the time being, she is toying with Elizabeth and Nikolas.

Check back during the weekend for more SPOILERS and RUMORS.
