General Hospital SPOILERS & RUMORS - Michael Wakes Up and Disappoints Mom! 4.30.9

Lots on Michael
Who will operate on Michael? Obviously we know it’s coming, so I’m not gonna pretend THAT’S a SPOILER. BUT, a big decision comes down to going forward immediately with the surgery or wait for Dr. Henson to return. After she talks it over with Jason, Carly decides to go ahead immediately with the surgery, and has Jax support. This puts Michael in the hands of Patrick. Matt is afraid Patrick will blame himself is something goes wrong in the E.R., so he decides to assist Patrick in the operating room. Liz is also on the surgical team. While Michael is taken to surgery, Sonny and Carly share a touching moment. Carly and Sonny wait anxiously together while Michael is being waited on. At one point, Michael flatlines, but Patrick brings him back around. Patrick comes out of surgery and gives grim news to Michael’s family. He does not believe Michael will ever regain consciousness. Carly is distraught and collapses in Jax’s arms. Sonny and Carly keep a vigil by Michael’s bed, refusing to give up hope.

So, let’s talk about what happens AFTER Michael wakes up… That bombshell he drops on Carly? It’s coming…What does he tell Carly? He'll tell her he wants to go live with daddy! We’ve been hearing hints all along that we will be surprised who Michael ends up befriending, and I will bet you just about anything it will be Claudia – especially if Michael ends up living at Sonny’s house! I also remember how we joked about all those times everyone was talking by Michael’s bedside, and didn’t we say “What if he ends up remembering?” WELL, Michael DOES remember something…a woman telling him over and over “I’m Sorry” at his bedside. Jason has an answer, however. He tells him he thinks it must have been Carly, but Michael thinks it might have been someone else.

Remember the RUMOR that says Claudia looses the baby, then pretends to be pregnant? That RUMOR is still floating around saying she keeps up the charade saying she goes so far as to set up a nursery for the baby that doesn’t exist! Remember, Ric will be getting a court order for a paternity test the moment she gives birth! I’m still expecting Jason to be the one who figures out the truth about Claudia…what do you think? Then he will tell Sam all about it!

Spinelli will reluctantly come to Maxie’s rescue. But what leads to the rescue is what COULD be surprising. One RUMOR says Maxie stages the scenario to force Spinelli to rescue her. The RUMOR says Maxie hires a photographer from Crimson to pretend to attack her.

So what’s up with the Spinmax kiss? I’m hearing this happens during a stake-out Spinelli and Maxie are on. They are “fake” kissing to stay under-cover!

Is Mayor Floyd’s wife showing up for a murder mystery? That’s what I’m hearing. When Martha Byrne landed the role, RUMBLINGS say the role was expanded for her, so we may see her a while before she gets the ax. (If that’s the plan.)

Alexis continues to be suspicious of Rebecca, while Rebecca and Nickolas grow closer. Just before Rebecca and Nik hit the hay, Rebecca decides against it, wanting to slow things down. All of a sudden, she realizes she has feelings for the prince! Later, Nik has a nightmare about Emily and finds Rebecca in Emily’s nightgown next to his bed! Also, Alexis finds out that Rebecca has spend an extended amount of time in Greece. While she is concerned, Nik doesn’t seem to be worried at all. Nikolas catches Alexis trying to bribe Rebecca with money to get out of town.

Also coming up

Robin will be home in the middle of May, and she will have a full recovery, according to sources. Patrick couldn’t be happier!

General Hospital Casts Martha Byrne as Mayor's Wife

According to SOAPnet.com, Martha Byrne (ex-Lily Snyder, As the World Turns) is joining the cast of General Hospital as Mayor Floyd's wife. Martha recently left her signature role as Lily Snider on As the World Turns for Bold and the Beautiful. More about Martha's role on General Hospital should be released at a later date.

General Hospital DAILY SPOILERS - Next 2 Weeks

SPOILERS are tentative, with the possibility of changes before airtime.

Mon, April 27 – Patrick averts a potential tragedy when he saves Emma from tumbling down the stairs. After learning Robin is not taking her meds, Patrick will stop at nothing to make sure Robin gets the help she needs. Jax learns the truth about the threat to Carly from her pregnancy when he overhears Carly and Jason discussing the risks. Jax has second thoughts about Carly’s pregnancy after he learns the truth. Carly refuses to consider terminating the pregnancy although Sonny insists she terminate the pregnancy when he finds out the risks involved in carrying Jax baby. Carly is upset when Sonny tells her Dr. Henson believes Michael’s time is running out to recover. Olivia accuses Claudia of becoming pregnant just to hold on to Sonny, warning Claudia that her days are numbered. Sonny makes a decision regarding Michael.

Tues, April 28 – An intervention is staged by the people closest to Robin – Patrick, Maxie, Mac, Kelly, Elizabeth, Matt and Dr. Brown. Robin viciously attacks Maxie, who takes the brunt of Robin’s anger, but Robin eventually accepts the truth and eventually to get help. Kelly urges Robin to leave Port Charles and get inpatient treatment. Jason learns that his instincts about Claudia are true. Luke confronts Ethan with several questions he would like answered. Jason becomes convinced of Claudia’s guilt when he talks to about Jerry’s car exploding. After talking to Alexis, he realizes it is best not to tell Sonny and Carly.

Wed, April 29 –Sonny is questioned by Claudia about his true feelings for Carly. Tracy gives Luke a warning that he may be doing exactly what Ethan was hoping. Patrick struggles with being a single father. When Matt shows up to help out with Emma, he too soon finds himself overwhelmed. We should see some funny scenes with the two brothers and little Emma. Patrick misses Robin while she is away. Jax wants Sonny and Jason to back off seeking revenge on Jerry for Carly’s protection. ALSO: Ric continues to give Claudia a hard time. Jax approaches Claudia with a proposition. Jax and Claudia are found together by Sonny. Tracy warns Luke that she thinks Ethan is trying to pull one over on him. Things heat up between an intoxicated Nikolas and Elizabeth when they share a kiss at Jakes.

Thur, April 30 – Nik and Elizabeth are caught kissing at Jakes by Lucky and Rebecca. Maxie puts her plan in motion to win back Spinelli. Jax asks Patrick to consult on Michael’s case, but Ingrid and Patrick find themselves well matched when they disagree on Michael’s care. Luke wants Ethan to take a DNA test but gets a big fat “NO”. He finally has a change of heart and agrees to take the test.

Fri, May 1 - Ric puts major pressure on Claudia. Maxie’s scheme to reconcile with Spinelli backfires causing Maxie to find herself in danger. Jax and Sonny come to blows when Jax is determined to keep Sonny from butting into his and Carly’s marriage.

Ric questions the baby's paternity.

Mon, May 4 – Jason is goes to Sam with his dilemma about Jerry. Liz and Lucky come to a new understanding. Meanwhile, Rebecca is determined to set the record straight with Nikolas.

Tues, May 5 – Claudia is afraid she may be losing the baby. Rebecca is stranded at Wyndemere. Tracy continues to fear Ethan is conning Luke.

Wed, May 6 – Nik and Rebecca become closer. Spinelli is unsure about coming to Maxie’s recue. Jason has disturbing news for Carly.

Thur, May 7 – Carly and Sonny come to an important decision about Michael’s future. Luke and Ethan get results back from their DNA tests. It gets hot and steamy between Nik and Rebecca.

Fri, May 8 – Carly and Sonny nervously wait together throughout Michael’s surgery. It gets hot and heavy with Maxie and Spinelli with Maxie leading the way. Alexis grows more suspicious of Rebecca.

Kristina is scheduled to show up in June, then Dante should make his way to PC in July.

Sonny and Jason become more and more suspicious of Claudia's involvement with Michael's shooting. (RUMOR:Jason learns the truth, but keeps it from Carly. Will he do so because of her pregnancy?)
Sonny tells Jason and Carly that Claudia is preggers. Painting in hand, Helena heads out of town...or so it appears.
Jason keeps a big secret from Sonny.
Lulu wonders if Ethan is her brother, causing the relationship to grow even more conflicted (or weird?)

Burglar's Break into Kelly Monaco's LV Penthouse

Kelly Monaco hid out behind her bed while the burglars trashed her apartment, according to TMZ. Kelly was asleep in her Planet Hollywood penthouse when she heard an intruder making noise from the other room around 4 a.m.

When the coast was clear, Kelly found her place trashed and called the police. It's not determined what was stolen.

According to TMZ, Kelly is now using a full-time security team throughout her stay in Las Vegas.

Jax has a Dilema
Jax soon finds out the truth about Carly’s pregnancy, the child he has always wanted could cost Carly her life.

“It’s like the life was sucked out of him,” says Ingo Rademacher. “It’s like he got sucker punched. Those scenes are quite nice, because of the reality of, ‘I might lose you. It’s not worth losing you over this child.’”

Jax is at General Hospital checking on his brother, Jerry when he finds Carly has fainted after hearing Jason was injured in the same explosion that has injured Jerry. Quickly, Carly recovers and shares Carly’s dire prognosis with Jason. Carly might not be able to carry the pregnancy to term-and she could die if she does.

“Jax overhears it in the emergency room, where there’s just a curtain in the cubicle,” Ingo explains. “Jason walks out. Jax comes in and says, ‘I just overheard what you said to Jason.” He tells her, ‘Look, I want you to have this child more than anything, but not at the risk of losing you.’”

Jax wants his wife safe and suggest she terminate the pregnancy. “He totally says that it’s too risky to have this baby,” insists Ingo. “Even if it’s 50-50-maybe it’s 80-20 –who knows? The fact of the matter is, it’s risky.”

Carly, however refuses to hear the alternatives. “It’s her decision, and she’s like, ‘It’s a 50-50 shot. This is a chance. We know we’ve always wanted a child together,’” quotes Ingo. “Carly thinks that if they do have a child together, it will bring them so much closer together. They’ve had their ups and downs in this marriage. They’ve has a rough, rough, rough ride.”

“Carly really wants to do it for Jax, because Jax doesn’t have any kids of his own,” he continues. “This might be the only chance he’ll ever have for a kid. Do you terminate a pregnancy because some doctor says there’s a 50-50 chance?”

“Carly-she’s a tough cookie,” says Ingo “She’s like, ‘I can deal with it. I can deal with a lot.’”

More May Sweeps Scoop from SOW
We know Michael wakes up – and he won’t be happy! His truggle dealing with being in a coma for a year will be tough when he blames a lot of people, and forgives some that will leave us surprised. Meanwhile, Carly’s pregnancy must remain stress-free and Jax is determined to make sure she stays as calm as possible. When Michael wakes up, it is a bit relief for Carly, but turns out to be not exactly what she bargained for.

Lulu will play an important role in Michael’s return. While helping Michael, she is also dealing with knowing that she might have another brother. More info comes out soon about Ethan soon when Emma Samms returns to General Hospital as Holly Scorpio on May 15th. Will she bring the truth behind Ethan’s true parents?

Meanwhile, Maxie is determined to win Spinelli back and will do just about anything to make sure she does. At the same time, she is fighting her attraction to Johnny when she learns he has slept with another Port Charles woman.

Will Lucky realize he still has feelings for the one that got away? My guess is this can only mean Lucky is still in love with Elizabeth! At the same time, the family warns Nik about Rebecca, but it doesn’t stop the two of them from growing closer together.

Olivia and Kate will reveal a few surprising things about each other in May as the storyline is set up for Dante to appear in June. The biggest surprise is we learn Kate is not necessarily the person we thought she was.

Sonny starts to trust Claudia in May, but Ric is convinced she is carrying his child! He goes as far as getting a court order for a paternity test, which could possibly ruin Claudia’s safety net.

May sweeps will be the time when Sam is Jason’s confidant as the two f them work closely to find out if Claudia actually is responsible for Michael’s shooting. Will romantic sparks reignite? (I doubt it, but teasers are floating around just in case.)

Robin will have some powerful scenes, even though Kimberly McCullough is on a three week vacation. Pre-shot scenes keep her on screen in re-hab during the majority of Kimberly Mc’s vacation. Meanwhile, Patrick depends on his brother and Elizabeth to help him out as he plays Mr. Mom, but he continues to worry about Robin and miss her while she is away.

The Quartermaines will play an important role in the return of Michael! Edward will especially feel strong towards protecting the Quartermaine heir from getting caught back up in the crossfire of the mob violence again.

Robin’s Intervention
Next week, Patirck takes desperate measures to save his wife when he gathers the people who love Robin the most together for an intervention in hopes that she will finally seek the help she needs. Jason Thomspon explains, “Patrick gets a few people together. Robin’s therapist Dr. Brown, Kelly Lee, Elizabeth, Maxie and Matt, and Mac are all there. They basically all say, ‘Listen, until you get help, we’re not going to support what’s happening right now.’ It’s a full-on intervention.”

At first, Robin takes out her frustration on Maxie, but is soon forced to accept the fact that she seriously needs help! Help that cannot come from outpatient care.

Jason says, “She ends up agreeing to going ot therapy. Robin agrees to go away for a couple of weeks, to a real facility to get help.”

Although Patrick has been urging Robin to get help, now it comes down to a classic case of “Be careful for what you wish for,” she’s out of the domestic picture. So, Patrick becomes Mr. Mom and has to find a way to juggle Emma, his career and home life. “Patrick is on his own. He has to balance all of it.” Says Jason. “

Sonny Gets Another Kid - Dante Watch Starts!

Soaps.com is reporting that the casting call for Dante has gone back out. According to Soaps.com, the actor needs to be charming, firtatious with an abundance of arrogance. The casting call also calls for Dante to be suffering angst over sleeping with someone from from Sonny's realm! How will Sonny react to learning about his other offspring?
