Franco, Jason and Sam
Jason comes face to face with his mirror image, Franco. It forces Jason to re-examine who he is and what he does as a profession. It will have profound consequences on how Jason moves forward in the future.
Jax and Carly
When Carly learns Jax is trying to take down Sonny, she will be very unhappy, to say the least. Learning this fact will have a big impact on their marriage.
Lucky, Liz and Nikolas
When Lucky learns the truth about Nik and Liz, it will create a "a huge, huge break which will not be easily mended." The truth will affect Lucky heavily, turning him into his father, so to speak.
Spencer Family
The Spencer family will be impacted with the reveal of Nik and Liz and also with the Dante reveal. Luke is put in the middle of the Nik and Liz reveal during a major domestic turmoil. He’s not accustom to being involved in such a way. This could change how Luke views his role in his family. Meanwhile, Ethan will see how much Luke loves Lucky when Lucky takes the front spot with Luke. It will cause Ethan to react in an unexpected way.
Dante
Much of 2009 was about building up the secret of Dante. “The reveal will have repercussions for everybody,” says Guza. Olivia is in a no-win situation. Olivia could be forced to choose her son over Johnny and Sonny.
Lulu and Dante
Lulu has kept Dante’s secret. She is Luke’s daughter, he is Sonny’s son. It will be a Romeo and Juliet dynamic.
Maxie and Spinelli
The one night stand will continue to haunt Maxie and Spinelli in a comedic way more than a serious way. We should see this continue for a while.
Teens
Michael’s struggle with the guilt of killing Claudia will continue to cause him to act out. Things will get worse after the Dante reveal. As we suspected, Kristina/Keifer abuse will get worse. We will see Sonny and Alexis front and center in confronting their lack of parenting skills. "The violence between Kristina and Keifer escalates to where it puts her in the hospital. Like so many girls who go thru the same thing, Kristina is so ashamed she lays the blame on someone else in the canvas," says Guza. The story will get much worse before it gets better. Several payers will be drawn into the story when Kristina purposely points fingers in the wrong direction. "Her accusations will pit two families against each other until the truth comes out"
The Docs
Lisa is Patrick’s equal. She currently shows no attraction for him…yet. Robin will find herself in the middle, but she is not sure how to feel. Matt, however is happy to continue to point things out to her. "This story has the potential to turn quite twisted." Says Guza.
The Quartermaines
History returns as the Wards are resurrected in a new form. According to SOD, the new storyline is still in early stages of development. The story will reset the Q’s, particularly Edward in a relationship to the Wards return.
Will Genie Francis Return? What about Vanessa Marcil?
Guza says, If ever there was an "ideal need" for her, it's now. Luke is reeling (Nik and Liz). Lucky will be in dire straits when it (the affair) comes out.
Guza also explains that they talked with Vanessa three weeks ago. . "She is very interested." There’s nothing in the works (according to Guza). "Right now, we've got so much going on that it would be difficult," but he says they aredefinitely keeping in contact with her.
Franco’s grand finale will air during the week of January 11. The impact will be felt through February sweeps, and rollout for Jason through May sweeps.
In hopes of stopping Franco’s plan, Jason comes clean with Johnny about Michael and Franco’s crazy games.
Sam is taken at the end of December. Jason discovers her missing around the 29th. He finds Carly just after Sam goes missing. Jason takes Carly back to Jax and the kids and explains to Carly how much he loves Sam. He stresses he doesn’t have time to chase her all over town while he is searching for Franco. He must put all his time and energy into finding Sam.
When Dante learns that Ronnie knew about Franco all along and is somewhat “dirty”, it effects Dante’s feelings about the case against the Corinthos organization.
Despite Sonny’s warnings, Carly continues to turn a blind eye toward Franco. Following the clues left by Franco, an unnerved Jason finds Josslyn’s hat. Also, Franco marks Ronnie’s hospital room with his infamous tag while Ronnie attempts to leave a cryptic message for Jason.
